TKK’S RAKO research project summary of the HCS measurement technology and accuracy

Summary of Vahanen Rakennusfysiikka Oy's statement on the comparison of Humi 2 sensors with borehole measuring.

Humi 2 sensor for monitoring structural drying and long-term moisture

  • An adjustable foot that can be pre-adjusted to the correct depth before casting and, if necessary, fine-tuned to the surface.
  • Suitable for both new constructions and renovation, and for casting thicknesses of 50–240 mm.
  • For humidity measurement, the sensor is positioned at the correct depth (RT
  • 14-10984, with one-way drying slabs at 40 % of total thickness and with two-way drying slabs at 20 %).
  • Measurement accuracy: + / - 2.5 RH %
  • Measurement accuracy + / - 0.3 °C
  • Installation depth: max. 10 cm
